Apples or Pears?

Did you know, it's not only our body shapes that have names, but breasts too!
When it comes to breasts, the shape you are, completely influences the style of bra you should buy!

Pears
Do you find that your breasts are flatter at the top and rounder at the bottom?
This is generally a result of pregnancy or weight loss.

You need sufficient support to make the most of your bust. Bandeau style bras or full cup bras are the best for you!

Apples
Do you have firm, completely round breasts?

Lucky you! You're able to wear just about any style of bra! But if you want to make the most of your assets, then a balconette bra shows of your curves perfectly.

Melons
Do you take a larger cup size and have a rather full, cleavage?

Beware! Everyone is jealous of you! With your voluptuous cleavage, you require lots of support. Wider straps and a full cup bra are your best friend.

None of the Above
If you've got small breast and don't fall under these categories, then your ultimate bra would be a push up bra! These come with fixed padding and removable padding. And best of all, you can get away without one at all!

Finding The Perfect Bra in 6 Simple Steps

Ever find yourself struggling to find The Perfect Bra? Do they never fit quite right? Well thankfully, these 6 simple steps should make it a doddle!

Step 1 - Putting on your bra.
  • Bend forwards and allow your breasts to fall into each cup of your bra.
  • Then stand up straight and fasten it.

Step 2 - Checking the back section.
  • This is the most important part of the bra as it gives support.
  • For your bra to provide sufficient support, the back must fit perfectly horizontally.

Step 3 - Adjusting the straps.
  • Very few women actually have breast that are the exact same size.
  • It is better to adjust each strap after putting on the bra, to ensure you get the best support.

Step 4 - Checking the front central panel.
  • This is the part between the cups.
  • It should rest on your breast bone comfortably and must not 'float'.

Step 5 - Checking the underwiring.
  • The underwiring should fit comfortably around the breasts.
  • If you finding it poking in just below your armpit, then it is too big, whereas if it's poking into the breast tissue, then it's too small.

Step 6 - Following the line of the cup.
  • The cups must not dig in to the breast, not should they leave a gap.
  • There should be a smooth transition between the surface of the breast and the bra.

Now that you've got these simple steps, you should be able to find the perfect bra!

The Strapless Myth

Time to battle the myths about strapless bras...

Won't my strapless bra keep slipping down?
  • No
If you buy the right size cup and band size, then the bra will stay in place. Good strapless bras have extra reinforcement in the back wings and an elastic silicone strips to prevent any sagging or slipping.

Do strapless bras have any support?
  • Yes
Contrary to common belief, strapless bras do in fact supply a good support. The cups are often tailored slightly differently to a regular bra, and the wires are positioned slightly higher at the sides.
Still not confident? Stand in front of a mirror without a bra on and bounce up and down. Now repeat the process with a strapless bra on, and you will see a major difference!

Don't all strapless bras look the same?
  • No
Strapless bras come in various styles. Although the bandeau is the most common style, there are in fact many more types and looks to choose from. There is something for everyone!
